Radiance Although containing elements of sacred geometry, Radiance was not intended to be as much of an explanation of their cross cultural correlations as Sacred Geometry II. It is rather a hint at the possible function of the forms, a balancing of forces and an emanation of their harmonic power. In this work, the pyramid form, which balances terrestial, lunar and solar forces is lifted vertically from its generative squared circle to reveal its harmonic emanations in the form of a cross. There are seven circles contained within the pyramid, symbolizing seven planes of existence. The seventh and innermost plane is a mirror of the earth below. On either side of the squared circle of metaphysical fusion there are six bars of light, twelve altogether, radiating from the depth and message of the thirteenth space at the core. It was realized sometime after the painting was finished that its composition is essentially the same as that of Leonardo da Vinci’s "The Last Supper". Like Sacred Geometry II, both the poster version of Radiance and a signed and numbered edition of prints are being offered so that people captivated by sacred geometry might be able to share in the beauty of the work. |
